 8 DIY Collagen Face Masks

1. Avocado Face Mask

    Avocado is one of the prominent superfoods for skin. Did you know that it can also be used for facials? Take advantage of avocado’s vitamins and protein to moisturise your skin. 
    Ingredients: 
    • 1 Ripe Avocado 
    • 1 Egg White – room temperature 
    • 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice         
    • 1 tbs Lumiere Collagen Peptide 
    Directions: 
    1. Peel avocado and mash until there are no chunks.
    2. Mix avocado, egg whites, lemon juice and Lumiere Collagen into a bowl
    3. Apply to face and let sit for 30 minutes.

       2. Strawberry Face Mask

      Strawberries are rich in vitamin C and also contain alpha hydroxy acids, which help with exfoliation. Try this face mask for beautifully smooth skin. 

      Ingredients: 

      • 10 Fresh Strawberries
      • 1/4 Cup Bee Pollen (sold at health-food stores) 
      • 3 Tablespoons Raw Honey (health-food stores) 
      • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil Mayonnaise 
      • A Few Drops of Lavender Essential Oil 
      • 1 tbs Lumiere Collagen Peptide  

      Directions: 

      1. Combine all the ingredients. 
      2. Apply to the face, avoiding the eye area. 
      3. Let it sit for 20 minutes.

      3. Honey Face Mask

        This face mask is particularly good for scars and dark spots. It’s also extremely easy to make. 

        Ingredients: 

        2 Teaspoons Raw Honey 

        1/2 Teaspoon Lemon Juice 

        1 tbs Lumiere Collagen Peptide 

        Directions: 

        1. Combine the lemon juice, honey and Lumiere.
        2. Apply the mixture to your face. 
        3. Allow it to sit for 20-30 minutes. 
        4. Rinse. 

        Please note: Lemon juice is a relatively strong ingredient, it’s best to limit the number of times you use this mask to 1-2 times per week.  


         

         

         

         

         

         

         

         

         

         4. Banana Face Mask

        Bananas contain a wealth of nutrients that benefit the skin. Why not hydrate your skin with this simple face mask? 

        Ingredients: 

        • Few Slices of Ripe Banana 
        • 1 Tablespoon Thick Yogurt 
        • 1/2 Tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice                                           
        • 1 tbs Lumiere Collagen Peptide 

        Directions: 

        1. Peel off ripe banana and mash it with a spoon. 
        2. Mix all the ingredients well and apply to cleansed face. 
        3. Let it sit for 25-30 minutes 
        4. Gently massage into skin for 2-3 minutes.

        5. Almond Oil and Aloe Vera Face Mask

        This mask is great for treating dry, flaky skin as well as moisturising and hydrating. 

        Ingredients: 

        • Aloe Vera Gel 
        • Almond Oil 
        • Banana
        • 1 tbs Lumiere Collagen Peptide 

        Directions: 

        1. In a mixing bowl, mash a banana with a fork. 
        2. Add 2 tablespoons aloe vera gel and Lumiere Collagen Peptide 
        3. Stir until ingredients are combined. 
        4. Measure in 3 teaspoons of almond oil. 
        5. Mix thoroughly. 
        6. Apply to cleansed skin. 
        7. Let it sit for 15 minutes. 
        8. Rinse 

           6. Coffee and Turmeric Face Mask

          The main benefits of this mask are caffeine and antioxidants. Caffeine reduces inflammation, including puffy eyes, while the antioxidants help the skin to glow. 

          Ingredients: 

          • 1 Tablespoon Instant or Ground Coffee 
          • 1 Tablespoon Powdered Turmeric 
          • 1 Tablespoon of Greek Yogurt                           
          • 1 tbs Lumiere Collagen Peptide 

          Directions: 

          1. Mix together all ingredients together.
          2. Apply all over face, including under the eyes. 
          3. Let it sit for 20 minutes.

            7. Oatmeal Face Mask 

             Use this mask to nourish and calm your skin. 

            Ingredients: 

            • 3 Teaspoons Oats or Oatmeal 
            • 1 Teaspoon Almond, Hemp, or Plain Milk (warmed slightly) 
            • 1 Teaspoon Rose Water 
            • 1 Teaspoon Plain or Coconut Yogurt                                                       
            • 1 tbs Lumiere Collagen Peptide  

            Directions: 

            1. Blend the oats or oatmeal with slightly warmed milk. 
            2. Stir until the mixture forms a thick paste. 
            3. Mix in the rose water, Lumiere Collagen Peptide and yogurt. 
            4. Apply to clean, damp skin.

            8. Antioxidant Chocolate Mask

              Dark chocolate can brighten your mood and give you a boost of antioxidants. Enjoy this anti-aging mask. 

              Ingredients: 

              • 1/2 Cup of Cocoa Powder 
              • 3 Tablespoons of Oats 
              • 4 Tablespoons of Cream 
              • 1/4 Cup of Honey                                                       
              • 1 tbs Lumiere Collagen Peptide 

              Directions: 

              1. Mix ingredients thoroughly. 
              2. Apply a delicate layer to the face. 
              3. Let it sit for 10 minutes.

               Lumiere can also be added to coffee or smoothies, making it easy to fit into your morning routine. If preferred, you can even make Lumiere fit into your night life, by adding it to cocktails or mocktails. Alternatively, get creative in the kitchen and use Lumiere in baking or cooking.
